Koran Verse 9-11 Hoax
How Can We Stop Spreading Hate?

There has been a "Koran 9:11" email hoax spreading across the web for the past 3 years that says - in short - that the Koran, verse 9:11 predicts that the rise of Osama Bin Laden, the attack on the USA on 9-11, and the American responses of attacking Afghanistan and Iraq.

I have received this Hoax twice in the past week - probably because of 9:11 - and I also got this hoax email last year around the date of the 9/11 anniversary. Because we have received this Koran 9:11 hoax email yet again it again, this page is being dedicated to debunking a Christian / Conservative Anti-Islamic Koran 9:11 hoax email.

According to the "Koran 9:11" email, verse 9:11 from the Koran - the Islamic Holy Book - says that a Son of Arabia will do something bad that will awaken a fearsome Eagle. And that the wrath of this Eagle will be felt throughout the lands of Allah. The connotation, of course, is that the Islamic Fundamentalist Osama Bin Laden (the Son of Arabia) has attacked America (the Eagle) and that the wrath of the Eagle will be felt in the lands of Allah; i.e. - the US will attack Afghanistan and Iraq.

The implication is that the Koran predicts not only Osama's attack, but it also predicts (and thus justifies) the US invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. the This email and the Koran passage quoted is big fat lie, a distortion of another people's Holy Book and a flat out Hoax.

A comparison of the Hoax Email and the true Koran passage prove this 100% a hoax.

Text of the Koran 9:11 Hoax email (in Blue):

Interesting Study, please read all the way to the end. VERY INTERESTING!

1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq!
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the writing on the wall; in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
17. The wise men were from Iraq.18. Peter preached in Iraq.
18. The Empire of Man described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia.

The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots. Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq. And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

HOW I FEEL

I'm trying to stand up for anyone that believes in God. I have not went to school to learn about religion, or have totally researched the ways of the Islamic religion, but I think those that are sending this email about the Muslim celebration stamp should see this side of their religion. I am not offended, and hope no one takes this email offensively. I only hope to OPEN EYES, or hearts.

Why not HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a purchase of commemorative first class holiday postage stamps. Just as any "normal" Muslim would probably honor the the right of any red blooded Christian American that would like to celebrate their traditional holidays like Palm Sunday or Ash Wednesday, Easter, or those that celebrate Hanukkah (Festival of Lights) : Jewish. Eight-day holiday commemorating the victory of the Jews, led by the Maccabees, over the Greeks in 165 B.C.E and the rededication of the temple., or the Feast of the Immaculate Conception : Christian (Roman Catholic) Day set aside by Roman Catholics to celebrate the belief that the Virgin Mary was conceived without sin. (Well with what the Catholic Priests are in trouble for these days, who'd buy that stamp) Christmas : Christian.
Public holiday. Celebration of the birth of Jesus by Protestants and Roman Catholics. (Celebrated on January 7 by Eastern Orthodox religions.)
Then we have the not so Christian-like celebrations or, well, not American anyway-
Fiesta de Guadalupe : Mexico. Feast day of the patron saint of Mexico and anniversary of the founding of the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The Agonalia; Ancient Romanfestival of Janus, Birth of Lord Parshvanath; Jain religion etc...

Or those celebrating things that mean a whole lot to some but not to others like; South Africa March 21: Human Rights Day, April 27: Freedom Day

Tell me I'm wrong. There may be terrorists that are Muslim, but not all Muslims are terrorists.

Here are more Muslim dates to think about
Islam **
(Holidays begin at sundown on the previous day.)

October 15 - November 14: Ramadan
November 9: Laylat al-Qadr
November 14: Eid al Fitr (Breaking of the Fast)
January 21: Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice)
February 10: Muharram (New Year)
February 19: Ashura
April 21: Maulid an-Nabi (Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday)

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. It is during this month that Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. Lasting for the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small meals and visit with friends and family. It is a time of worship and contemplation. A time to strengthen family and community ties.

Laylat al-Qadr is a holy night. All nights of Ramadan are holy nights but Laylat al-Qadr is the holiest night of this holy month. It is also the holiest night among all other holy nights throughout the entire year. It comes only once a year and Allah Almighty grants to His most praised, most respected and most beloved servant Sayyidina Muhammad (s) this holy night, the Night of Power. About this night, God, the Glorious and Exalted said:

In the name of God, the Beneficent the Merciful
Indeed We sent it [the Holy Quran] down on the Night of Power.
What will convey to you what the Night of Power is like!
Better is the Night of Power than a thousand months
in that Night the angels and the Spirit descend
by the permission of their Lord for every affair.
Peace it is, till the break of dawn.
[Quran, Chapter 97]

Allah Almighty says it is much more valuable than one thousand months of worshipping. That means Allah Almighty granted such huge power to that night.

Eid Al-Fitr, or the Celebration of Breaking the Fast, marks the end of Ramadan. Ramadan is the month of fasting.

This next one would make me proud to be a follower of someone named Hussain. NO, NOT THAT HUSSAIN! This is the last one I am looking up. The reason I did this is because like all the warm fuzzy emails you receive time & time again that state; IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, YOU'D PASS THIS ON. Sorry it's not warm and fuzzy, but the meaning is the same.

What is Ashura ? good site to check for more information www.Ashura.com

In the month of Muharram 61 AH (approx. 20 October 680 AD), an event took place in Iraq at a place known as Kerbala on the bank of the river Euphrates. It seemed in those days insignificant from the historical point of view. A large army which had been mobilised by the Umayyad regime besieged a group of persons numbering less than a hundred and put them under pressure to pay allegiance to the Caliph of the time and submit to his authority. The small group resisted and a severe battle took place in which they were all killed.

It appeared at that time that like hundreds of similar events, this battle would be recorded in history and forgotten in time. However, the events that occurred on the 10th day of Muharram in Kerbala were to become a beacon and an inspiration for future generations. In this article, we shall examine briefly the principal adversaries.

Who is Hussain ?

The leader of the small band of men who were martyred in Kerbala was none other than Husain (A), son of Ali bin Abi Talib (A) and grandson of the Holy Prophet (S). Who was Husain? He was the son of Fatima (A) for whom the Holy Prophet (S) said, "Husain is from me and I am from Husain. May God love whoever loves Husain." [1]

Baha’i
(Holidays begin at sundown on the previous day.)

Baha'i looks kinda like the Islam holidays, maybe I'll look that one up next. July 9: Martyrdom of the Bab
October 20: Birthday of the Bab
November 12: Birthday of Baha’u’llah
March 21 : Naw Ruz (New Year)
April 21 - May 2: Ridvan
May 23: Declaration of the Bab
May 29: Ascension of Baha’u’llah

Which stamp should come after the EID????? Something from our NOBLE Americans that says OUR WAY IS THE ONLY WAY??

Pass this and you just might be blessed!

Folks, Mrs. (or Miss) Bradford and Mr. Washington. I appreciate the information I learned about Muslim holidays. The two of you understand the importance on commenting only on what you have informed yourself on. However, let these people have their stamp. Whenever we are bothered by something that does not matter, such as a simple stamp, we forget about the things that do matter. The word Islam as you may very well know means "peace." To label any attack as a Muslim attack is plainly and totally wrong, 100%. To label the 9/11 attacks as "muslim" attacks is akin to calling the Jewish Holocaust a Christian attack on Jews. I am Christian and I know that Jesus obviously did not compel Hitler to kill 6 million innocent people. Hitler indeed cited Christ as justification for cleansing his nation and his eventual empire. The Spanish Inquisition was done in the name of the Lord. In the Roman Empire there was rampant persecution of nonbelievers in the name of God within only a couple hundred years (or less)of being persecuted themselves. All of these things are labeled by the non-christian folks as Christian based attacks, very unfair. Osama bin Laden attacks are not Muslim attacks. He is not a muslim nor are any of his followers. What he does enrages muslims and christians equally, due to the fact that the western world is waging massive reprisal against muslim states due to Osama's actions. The Koran does allow for a jihad against infidels who violently invade or attack a muslim state (like Iraq). 9/11 was an attack on non-muslim soil by a non-muslim faction, i.e. unnacceptable in the Koran. However, each soldier who fires a gun in a muslim state and threatens an islamic state is justified to be killed according to the koran. U.S. soldiers are in the crossfire of a holy war in afghanistan and iraq, that has been incorrectly labeled a "war on terror." according to you and others the terror is a muslim thing. let's see this for what it is, democracy is anti-islam, a stamp is not a weapon of war, and until we begin to understand this we will continue to label muslims defending their holy lands as terrorists. thank you and please reply. i think that you are well-educated and beautiful people, and disagreement is the mother of wisdom. good bye :)
